CAREER IN PRODUCT MANAGEMENT —
illustrations for educational articles
My TASK was to create independent visual storytellings that make the client's content stand out on social networks. The aim of the graphics is to help readers better recall and comprehend complex materials.

SOLUTION, illustration #1
A mix of fears and anticipations accompanies decision to switch careers to product management.
I used 4 techniques to convey the emotions of transitioning from the comfort of the familiar to the adventurous and mysterious unknown of a new career:
— An abstract, dense forest of the future symbolizes the uncharted territory ahead, not yet experienced but bright and intriguing.
— A transparent black-and-white house serves as a symbol of the disappearing past.
— Bugs represent fear of making mistakes.
— An emotional chair-human character, attached to this past, embodies doubts and uncertainties.
— A yellow index finger represents determination and direction.
SOLUTION, illustration #2
Expectations from a new product manager in the first 90 days. The PM is about to leave the familiar track and start a new adventure.

I used 3 techniques to depict this moment of both excitement and worry:
— Ocean symbolizes a large scale of opportunities and responsibilities in building a product.
— Contrast between the dark cave of familiarity and the bright horizon serves as a symbol of hope and development.
— Mysterious, alien creatures represent a new and unknown diverse team waiting for the PM.

SOLUTION, illustration #3
Expectations of the CEO and SRO from the new product manager. The PM is organizing work and planning the future of the growing product.
I used 7 techniques to explain what is expected from a PM:
— Communicating with people and teamwork at different levels
— A group welcoming a living statue represents a user-oriented approach
— A stack of money as a lift to emphasize the importance of understanding the business
— Charts and mapping highlight the importance of data and research
— Green color, trees, and bear symbolize sustainability
— The blueprint part of the illustration and a beam of light emphasize the importance of strategic thinking, planning, and clear goal-setting
— Night symbolizes uncertainty and upcoming discoveries

I transform complex topics and ideas into relatable symbolic graphics whether it is hand-drawn illustrations or collaborations with generative AI.
